Code by the Students, for the Students
We host free coding workshops in Lancaster County to give middle school and high school aged students access to real-life developers and instruction,
something many school districts in Lancaster County lack. This is the area which we aim to fill!
Our Philosophy of Free
We always want Convert to Code to be accessible, and that means accessible to everyone. We never want anything, be it skill level or money, to stand in the
way of someone's opportunity to learn and grow. We believe that learning to code is a vital part of our increasingly tech saturated lives. Whether you are
selling shoes or building airplanes, you need engineers and coders, so having a basic understanding of how computers operate, not only demystifies
them, but increases your awareness of what is possible.
We have hosted over 13 free coding workshops since our inception in 2017.
We leverage Lancaster's rich tech scene to locate professional developers to teach our workshops and to help design our curriculums.
Focused on creativity, collaboration and cutting edge technology, participants of past workshops have built projects that include a beatbox website,
homemade Space Invaders and Android apps
We have reached students in over 22 school districts in the Lancaster, Lebanon and York area
